Bankruptcy Fees Cox Law Group

We have done our best to set our fees as low as possible to allow us to continue to provide quality, effective service to our clients. Every case is different and our fees do vary, depending on the work involved for each case. Thus it is impossible (and would be unfair to our clients) to list exact fees here on our website. However, we invite you to set a free appointment to meet with an attorney at our office so we can understand your situation and quote you an appropriate, competitive fee for our services.

In most cases, only the Court’s Filing Fee of $335.00 and the required credit counseling, credit report, and other out of pocket expenses must be paid prior to the filing of the case. Typically, all Attorney Fees will be paid through the Chapter 13 repayment plan over time.

Initial Non-Refundable Deposit to Start Work on Your File

After your consultation, if you decide to move forward with a bankruptcy filing with our office we ask that you make an initial non-refundable deposit of $100.00 to be applied toward the total cost of your bankruptcy – regardless of whether you decide to do a Chapter 13 or 7. You do not have to make this payment right away, but we are not able to begin work on your file until such payment is made. Once this payment is made, we will provide you with a copy of your consolidated 3-bureau credit report as well as instructions and a payment coupon for obtaining your required pre-bankruptcy credit counseling so that you can go ahead and complete that course. Also, upon request, we will provide you with a letter of representation that you may share with your creditors to reduce the amount of direct collection calls and communications you receive.
